42. Dooars, West Bengal – A Hidden Gem
The Dooars or Duars is an open stretch of land spreading across 30 km in the northern part of Bengal. It is a beautiful place to visit in India due to the vast expanse of green alluvial plains. Located at the foothills of the eastern Himalayas around Bhutan, the region is the door to Bhutan and many attractions like Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary, Buxa Fort, Bhutanghat and Jayanti River.
