Daral Lake also Known as Daral Dand Lake is one of the many Lakes in Swat, Famous because of its picturesque. The shining blue water surrounded by lush-green meadows and small colorful flowers.

Daral Lake (Daral Danda Lake) appears as amoeba shape, lies at the foothills of Spinsar mountain in the hills of Bahrain valley at an elevation of 11,500 ft , a mesmerizing valley of Swat Region. 

The Lake is beautiful with its blue shining water surrounded by full of nature, eroctic flowers, animals grazing here and there in lush green meadows.

The lake involves myths as well which are bit fascinating: a few local people accept that the lake is a habitation of angels while others state there is a tremendous fortune of gold however protected by heavenly elements with brilliant rollers.

Daral Lake Location, Map and Trek

Daral Lake is only accessible during the summer, all through the winter the trails leading to the lake remain closed because of heavy snowfall.

There are 3 Treks that leads to Daral Lake (Daral Danda Lake) .

Firstly, it can be accessed via 4-Hours Trek from Bahrain Valley through though terrain,after which the Lake is located in the East after a descend.

The other Way to access the Daral Lake (Daral Danda Lake) is the most enchanting and the most favoured trail to Daral lake that make way from Lalkoo Valley and Gabin Jabba through rich green meadows, dense forest, Streams of crystal Clear water and waterfalls.

Lalkoo Valley is 60Km away from Mingora, Swat and have road access. From Lalkoo Valley, The trek starts and via Gabin Jabba, Daral Lake can be accessed in a 6-8 hours trek, depending on the expertise of the Hiker. 

The third Trek that leads to Daral Lake is via Sidgai Lake. Daral lake is located toward the upper east of Sidgai Lake and can be accessed through two-three hours trekking. The path to Daral is loaded with fun and mesmerizing beauty since it runs over majestic mountains giving awesome sights and scenes to the eyes of nature Loving Traveller. A look towards the south will uncover the long and twisting stream of River Swat.

Sidgai Lake can be accessed through Lalkoo Valley and Gabin Jabba. 

Nearby Population and Camp Site

There a lust green meadows surrounding the Lake to spend a night in your camp, Also Trekking for approximately an hour from Daral Lake lands you in a small lakelet called Dand Ghara (Lake edge) in local vocabulary. It seems like an offshoot of the enormous Daral Lake and few nomads live around its vicinity. A small mosque is present which gives relief and respite for the trekkers after their long arduous walk. A night can be spent here while taking pleasure in the calm surrounding and enjoying hospitality of local nomads.
