Saidgai Lake - Swat Valley Pakistan Most Beautiful Places

Saidgae Lake Swat ( Saidgai Dand or Saidgai jheel ) is one of the many Lakes in Swat Pakistan. Saidgae Lake is located 11,500 feet above sea level at the periphery of Swat and Dir (Ushirai Dara) districts. Saidgai Dand surrounded by snow-covered tops and thick glaciers.

Saidgae Lake Swat is considered one of the Largest Lakes in the area ( One Kilometre Long and half Kilometer Wide ). It is Interspersed by numerous small and big lakes.

The Lake can be accessed through 3 Trails

First Trek starts from the famous tourist point of Dir District, Ushirai Darra from where trekker has to hike a 16 KMs trek to access Saidgai Jheel. The trail requires a lot of energy from hikers to reach the lake and then get back because of tough terrain and its steepness.

Second Trek to Saidgai Lake is Sulatanr trail thru the Rodingar valley of Tehsil Matta. The trek from Sulatanr to Saidgai is a scenic one, taking trekkers throughout dense forests and lush green meadows with multi-colored flowers everywhere and a lot of resident and migratory birds.

The Third and most recommended Trek to Saidgai Jheel starts from Lalko Village – A village of Matta Tehsil swat. An unmetalled road takes you to this village from Matta or Mingora from where your trekking chapter starts. From here, continuous trekking for almost seven to eight house leads you to your desired destination. On the way you will come across a vast pasture, which is called Gabina Jabba in the local vocab. The lush green pastures put on a blanket of limitless and innumerable types of flowers of different shades that tempt specific species of uncommon birds and insects. Throughout the trek different landscapes and panoramas will cherish and soothe hikers tired nerves and bodies. A spring known as Lallko Cheena or Lalko Spring lies on the trail to Saidgai that provides extra appeal and amusement. The spring is situated at the foot of tall rugged mountains and is well-known for its healing effects.
