Ushu Forest
This well-preserved forest is full of deodar trees and is a fabulous place to get lost. The road that leads into the forest continues on to several villages set along the Kalam River.

The distance of Ushu Forest from Kalam Valley and Map
Ushu (Usho) is a forest in Usho Valley, It is located 8 kilometers from Kalam and 123 kilometers from Mingora Swat, at the height of 7,550 feet from Sea Level. It is accessible through a non-metaled road from Kalam Valley by jeeps only. The use of a normal car is not recommended on that road.
How to Reach Usho Forest
Ushu forest is situated 10 minutes’ drive and 20-25 minutes walk from Kalaam Bazaar. You can hire a 4×4 vehicle from Kalaam or walk towards the Forest on your own.
If you are going to Mahodand Lake, then Usho Forest comes on your way and will be your first Stop. After spending half an hour there and Clicking a few pictures with your loved ones. You can continue your journey towards Mahodand Lake.
Camping at Usho Forest
You can camp in the forest on your own as well as stay in the camping site at the Usho Forest. The basic necessities are available from the close vicinity of the village as well as from Kalaam as Kalaam is just 10 minutes drive from the Forest.
You can rent a camp and other necessary things from Kalaam if you want to spend a night in Forest.
Note: Camping is only recommended during summers in ushu forest swat. In winter, the temperature, as well as other conditions like snowfall won’t allow you to camp there.
